Just off the beaten track… my Facebook Profile has an application with Wordpress blogging, so this is a test post and checking it out for later… the thing is that I can’t even see what I am typing as the… hang on… I just got into my editor in Wordpress and wella… here is the post.

Now I have to tell you why I have this Facebook profile. I actually joined Facebook last month and hadn’t bothered to fill in any details. I did the same with Stumbleupon and Squidoo

This is all related back to my journey on learning how this Internet Marketing business works. The journey I started when I joined the 21st Century Academy and was introduced to the concept of making money while you sleep. Very cool idea… So I set up some profiles and I happened to come across the www.thirtydaychallenge.com and decided to join in and give it a go.

The challenge is to make your first $10 on the Internet in 30 days. The reason I was so interested is because this thirty day challenge is all about the new marketing strategies using Web 2.0 which is a whole new article in itself, but the gist of it is to use marketing tools and applications that are not just available on your laptop. You can extend yourself onto iPods and iPhones so you are downloadable in the form of podcasts and videos. Well not you but your content that is

Making money while you sleep is something that everyone dreams of and it is possible to do if you just give it a go. The challenge has already started and there is a bit to catch up on if you are interested. It’s a great way to learn and the best thing is that it is free to join. It’s their way of paying it forward so give it a go and learn from some very talented Internet Marketers.

Seeing as this is a test, I will sign off now and see how it looks in Facebook…

A short while ago, I posted an article titled Who is Jamie McIntyre and I thought I would give you some more information on how my journey has progressed since becoming a graduate of the 21st Century Academy.


21st Century Academy Homestudy

As I mentioned earlier, I found Jamie McIntyre ( download his free eBook ) on the Internet whilst searching for somebody else. Of course it was no coincidence as I believe everything happens for a reason, that I happened to then order my homestudy package through one of Jamie’s Business Partners, Sean Rasmussen. I took on the study and within 2 months of receiving it I had already attended a Property Investment seminar and then an Internet seminar all included as part of the package. Jamie teaches that wealth creation is a synergy of mindset - Emotional Intelligence - together with stock market, property investing, Internet marketing and business strategies.

Well I have to tell you that this got my juices flowing. This blog was created before I joined the Fishbowl Project and if you have read any of my earlier articles, I was on a journey to build a business. An Internet Network Marketing business. This started as a result of attending the Internet seminar and surfing my way through the web to find something suitable that took my fancy if you like. I did come across many of them but it wasn’t for me. Interestingly enough, I was introduced to some very dear people along the way who have become wonderful friends via cyberspace, one of whom I have enjoyed a fantastic holiday with in fact. As I said earlier, everything happens for a reason and starting this blog led me to where I am today. Having the patience and sometimes fascinating occurrences that can happen while learning a new craft has opened my eyes wider to the possibilities that come from sticking to a plan and working at it.


True Wealth

Since becoming a 21st Century Academy Graduate and becoming an affiliate, my knowledge has increased and these new learnings are being deposited into my brain for storage. I am growing many new cells of recognition everyday. There is plenty to learn and Internet marketing is a very cut throat business as you are well aware. When you learn from the best you can expect results and my success is just beginning. I have created my business which I love and wanted to pass this message onto to you.

Many of my articles all relate to my spiritual side and I know it is time now to bring the spiritual side together with the wealth creation and share how the two fit together. If you are shaking your head saying that they cannot be mentioned in the same sentence then think again. Your wealth grows only as much as you do and I don’t mean just in a financial way. True wealth encompasses every aspect of your life that is Mental, Physical, Familial, Social, Financial, Spiritual and Vocational. I have abundance in many forms and whenever it shows up, which is often, I am grateful and celebrate as this tells the Universe that I expect more. There is always more as the Universe has infinite resources. All I have to do is believe that it will show up.

I was sent this little story in an email and it shows us how powerful our thougths can be.  Through dominating thoughts in our conscious mind we voluntarily influence our sub-conscious, it doesn’t matter if these thoughts are negative or positive the sub-conscious will accept either.  I felt it needed to be shared so here it is… 

Frozen By Fear

The Little Engine That Could was a story that inspired many of us as children. The story tells of a small train that was faced with a steep climb up a very large hill. Half way up the hill the little engine started to feel as though it was an impossible task. Fear set in.

“Will I make it?” the train wondered. “What if I don’t? What if I run out of steam before I make it? What if I’m not equipped with a strong enough engine to handle this?”

The fear grew inside as his speed slowed with the climb. Soon he crawled to a stop. “I can’t make it,” he thought.

He was gripped with fear, paralyzed by it. Then things got even worse. He was now slipping backwards. His fear was now his reality. The top of the hill was out of his reach and he would never make it. As he slid backwards he yelled out, “I don’t want to fail!”

Then something inside him changed. In truth he really did want to be on the top of the hill, not forever stuck at the bottom to live in its shadow. Fear was replaced with determination, drive, and a desire to make it to the top. With all he had in him he focused on summoning the power he needed to stop the backward slide.

And he did it! He was now holding his ground on the hill. His excitement deepened his determination. Up the hill he began moving, ever so slowly, pulling the weight of the entire train behind him. He looked up toward the top of the hill and held clear in his mind the vision of making it. He became even more determined and that made him feel stronger. His confidence grew and he picked up more speed. The train didn’t feel so hard to pull now. He felt great strength within himself that he hadn’t known before; strength he had never needed before now. As he neared the top of the hill he felt unstoppable. He knew he was going to make it!

He did it! The little ol’train made it to the top of the hill and congratulated himself. It felt great to be at the top. Filled with joy, confidence and a passion for life he looked down the tracks eager to continue his journey. He saw another hill - bigger than the last! A big smile came over his face; for he truly understood there is no end to the hills! This filled him with a deep sense of peace and humility. He then further realized that the journey and the destination are one and the same.

He wondered how was it that at the half-way point he felt so overcome with the task and yet it was in him to make it. He was strong enough. Could it have been that as his fears grew, his thoughts were consumed with the vision of not making it? Failure almost became his reality. It was when he changed his focus - alerted his perspective - that he felt powerful. In fact, it seemed the more he believed in himself the stronger he felt, and the easier the climb became. His new focus became his new reality!

He admired just how powerful his thoughts are and he never took them for granted again. He became aware of his thoughts and he used them to go places he always wanted to go!

Remember: You are the conductor of your own train on the tracks of life and you are strong enough to go places you want to go. Don’t let a little hill stop you - choose the reality you wish to create, not the one you’re afraid might occur. Soon enough you’ll be able to say just like the little engine, “I know I can!”

You know, it’s not the goal you set that is the important part of accomplishing your dreams.  It’s all about the  journey and what it takes to get there.  It’s about the person you become while you are heading for that goal.

There will always be challenges that front up and it seems to be like a roller coaster ride.  One minute you are up and everything is going your way.  The next, well down you go, not knowing whether to take the left or right turn, but how you come out at the end is what will make the journey worthwhile.

Life is full of experiences and opportunities that must not be wasted.  You need to be aware of what lies ahead and be ready to take it up or your life will be full of regrets and not knowing.

Let’s consider that you are wanting to invest in property for example, and the deal of a lifetime becomes available to you.  Do you know how long it takes to organise finance? etc.  In order for you to be in a position to snap up the opportunity, you must have everything in place to go ahead when the time comes or it will slip right past you.

By being in a position to take up the opportunities that come your way,  you will be pleasantly surprised at the person you become.  Sometimes it may take some creative thinking on your part and that makes the brain hurt  if you’re not used to it.  Make sure to write things down in a journal as you go.  I was reading through one of my journals not so long ago and was inspired  by the things I had written down that I wanted to achieve and had.

Your wealth will grow only as much as you do.  You are the root of your financial success or failure.  If you work on the roots, the “fruits” will take care of themselves.
