Hi! I haven't seen any fairies lately but the article takes me back when I was training at St Vincents. Back then, they thought I was a fairy, but I fooled them!

Hi Ange,
Nice photo of the fairy. I absolutely belive that children see things which adults do not see. They are tuned into different things going on around us which us adults typically ignore. i wrote and enitire blog post about a creepy incident with my daughter and my dead father in law. Fairies, ghosts, whatever, kids are tuned in. Good post! -Mike.

Hi Rod and welcome :)

I have read about and also discussed the aura and energy fields with people I have come across in the past who are involved in what is labelled "alternative therapies." I say labelled as the alternative therapies have actually been around far longer than the more modern ones.

It is unfortunate that the majority of people grow out of this as adults, but could you imagine all of us seeing everybody's auras? It would get quite distracting. I was curious about the idea that 'The Celestine Prophecy' book puts across where when you feel a connection with someone, then you are able to see their energy field that surrounds them. Now that would be interesting in a relationship. You wouldn't be able to hide anything from your partner if that were the case!

Thanks for your thoughts on the fairies :)

WOW Marc! What a memory you have and such a lovely one too :) I tend to agree with the fact that 3 year old girls do not usually conjure up adult men in white dresses given the choice, so a guardian angel sounds just beautiful. It must have left you wondering for days... I wonder how many times she actually did speak to him? If of course it was what you thought it to be?

Thanks for sharing such an awesome story here :)

Hello Oza... yes she was a pretty awesome fairy... very tall standing on her box! It took the little one a while to warm up to her and get the fairy dust all through her hair :) It then takes about two weeks to get it all out... so be it!

To believe in a magical world and still have that sense of wonderment is great... keep wishing upon that star....

Big Hugs coming your way sweet lady.... ((( ))) ... thanks!

Hey Diane... two strapping sons... nice! I'm sure they keep you on your toes. Not having had boys, everything is pretty girlie at our place. Even dad's workshop tends to gather fairies and mermaids in need of repair at times. I will be home day after tomorrow so will catch up with the "7 more things about me blog shortly." See you soon :)

I believe that children see our aura and energy fields and most of us unfortunately grow out of it as we get older since it is not talked about or acknowledge. Babies are often focus on the bright energy that surrounds us and stare at that rather than just our boring physical form. Whether there are fairies they can see too that we adults can't isn't that much of a stretch.

Hi Ange:

What a couple of cuties you have there, they look well loved :-)

In response to your question, I have the following story...

When my eldest daughter was but 3 years old (she's in her 20's now) I happened to go upstairs one afternoon to rouse her from her nap, when I heard her talking away in her room. Snoopy Dad that I am, I paused at the door to have a listen. Peering through the gap, I could see her standing in the middle of her room, looking up, way up, and she appeared to be listening! I certainly couldn't hear anything, but she seemed to. After a moment or two of this listening behaviour, she nodded slightly and started talking, just like she was answering a question...

This one sided exchange went on for a few minutes, after which, she turned away and saw me. When I asked who she had been talking to, she responded, "A tall man in a white dress." Smiling indulgently, I asked her for more details about her imaginary friend, only to watch her get quite upset, insisting that he was a real person, and that she had been really talking to him!

I know that it is entirely possible that she had created this man, but it does occur to me that 3 year old girls don't usually create imaginary friends in the form of adult men in dresses, so I am left with no choice but to believe that she was talking to her Guardian Angel. Somehow, this notion doesn't seem that far fetched to me, and indeed brings me a lovely sense of security, knowing that our little ones are being watched over, even when we can't be there ourselves.

Cheers, Marc

Wow...what an absolutely beautiful Fairy. I would have been in awe...totally.

And your daughters are so cute, it must have been quite a thrill for them to be sprinkled with fairy dust. Lucky gals!

When you wish upon a star...

Big hugs and lots of LOVE,
