I say labelled as the alternative therapies have actually been around far longer than the more modern ones. It is unfortunate that the majority of people grow out of this as adults, but could you imagine all of us seeing everybody's auras? It would get quite distracting. I was curious about the idea that 'The Celestine Prophecy' book puts across where when you feel a connection with someone, then you are able to see their energy field that surrounds them. It took the little one a while to warm up to her and get the fairy dust all through her hair :) It then takes about two weeks to get it all out... so be it!
