Some more of what I learnt from Phillip Day.

96: Be an “overcomer”.  Well what do you think he means here?  I took it to mean that you look at what everyone else is doing, and do the opposite.   The majority of people just go with the crowd and do whatever their friends, neighbours or work colleagues are doing.  Don’t follow the herd, breakthrough and get out of your comfort zone and get some different results. 

95: “You are what you eat.”  How many times have you heard that saying but still do nothing to make good choices for your health and your body.  Yes, I am guilty too.  Food can change your mood  so next time you prepare a meal,  make sure that you have more live, fresh food rather than white, red and white food!  Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels.  At the very minimum, 20% of what you eat should be made up of grains, meat and dairy.  The other 80% should be made up of fresh garden vegies and fruit, legumes and haricots.  Eating raw is a good idea too.

For those of you that do not know, Phillip Day is passionate on educating citizens like you and me on how not to get cancer, and if we do happen upon it, then it can be reversed with good nutrition.  Nobody with  a healthy immune system gets cancer. 

Stress is another factor in this equation.  Stress is due to having repetitive routines so taking time out, and especially taking four whole weeks out one after the other is the best way to relieve those routines.

94:Psychiatry is the study of people who don’t need to be studied by people who do.  Think about that for a second.   Apparently, 100% of violent criminals are found to be hypoglycemic.  Interesting don’t you think?  The prostaglandin is the chemical mood modulator which is kept balanced by the Essential Fatty Acids (EFA’s) in the system.  If we do not have enough EFA’s, then this leads to mood swings.  EFA’s are essentially Omega 3 and 6.  Oils found in fish.  There are many supplements on the market and many children who get diagnosed with ADD or ADHD are found to calm down immensely and not be so violent if they are put on a course of EFA’s.  Phillip Day’s book “The Mind Game” makes for some interesting reading on this. 

Now I will throw this in as he did tend to go off on a tangent at times, but all which he spoke of was very interesting.  Here is bit of trivia  for you.  Don’t ask me why this country was named, as I’m sure I missed the explantion for this one, but when doctors in Israel go on strike, 80% of the time, the death rate lowers by 50%.  Go figure!  The medical profession of course is very needed, but at the same time, they are governed and funded by the drug companies.  Did you know that doctors are not trained in nutrition?  They treat the symptoms but not the cause.  Every disease is caused by some metabolic disruption in the system.  This is why he stresses so much that good nutrition is paramount to a long healthy life.

Phillip Day… what can I say? ”Simple Changes - Your 100 ways to a Happier and Healthier Life.” I am going to  include some links throughout this post that are just here for your information and further reading which I know will be helpful to many of you viewing this.First of all a little more about Phillip Day. 

In his 20’s, he had family members that were dying of cancer and he wanted answers that nobody could give him.  So he set out on a mission to find out the truth about cancer and has for the past two decades travelled around the world offering the truth in his speaking engagements.

 This is one of his websites  http://campaignfortruth.com/   which is a worldwide organisaton dedicated to educating the public on health issues and pressing for change in areas of science and medicine where long-standing scientific error, ignorance and vested interests are costing lives.

Millions today use nutritional supplements and alternative health strategies for themselves and their families, and yet, increasingly, the public’s freedom to choose is being eroded by government legislation and attempts by the pharmaceutical conglomerates to ‘buy  out’ the alternative health market.

So here are some “Simple Changes” to consider.

100: Linking Pain and Pleasure.

Most of us link pain to exercise.  Why?  Youv’e heard it before “No pain, No gain.”  This is just oozing linking the pain.  This is the reason most of us do not exercise regularly.   Most of you out there have iPods, yes?  Well you put your favorite music on it and take it with you when you go to the gym.  Another thing to do is to reward yourself.  By this I don’t mean with (unhealthy) food.  What I mean is to book yourself a regular massage for having worked out or whatever it is you like to indulge in.  By linking pleasure to exercise, you are more likely to keep up the routine.

99: Your past does not equal your future.

Just because your life hasn’t exactly been what you expected it to be up until now, there is no reason that your future will have to be the same as the past.  What I mean is, we look at our future and believe because of our past results we will get the same results in the future.  Create a new possiblity for yourselves and strive for the future you dream of.  Just by changing a few things and taking some steps, do something a little different and you will start to notice that the future will be different. 

Write down your goals and revise them everyday until you get them exactly as you wish.  Believe that you will achieve them and you will start to act in a certain way that in time, will bring you new results. 

98: What do I wish to accomplish by bedtime tonight?

This one is pretty straight forward.  When you wake up in the morning, ask yourself this question and write down the things that you wish to accomplish for the day.  By working on this, you will find that you prioritise what is most important to do and by making a list of these things, you will find you actually get more done.

97: Avoid imagining the worst as worry is the cause of stress!

Why worry about something that has not happened yet?  That is exactly what worry is.  Imagination.  Thinking of the worst possible scenario to fill your mind with needless images and thoughts.  Instead, have faith!  Faith is the expectation that something good will happen and our minds are better filled with these options. 

I will leave you here tonight and continue next post.  Phillip spoke for around 3 hours and we didn’t get throught the whole 100 things to do.  I will  give you some more later.

Hi everyone… I have been doing a little revamping of my websites and  now my blog.  I have changed the look and know that you will love it too. This is a short post to inform you that I have just returned from an evening with Phillip Day, just for something different.  He was born in England in 1960. He was educated at the leading British education establishments Selwyn and Charterhouse, and throughout his ‘20s had a successful entrepreneurial career founding businesses in sales and marketing. With a firm grounding in business and the ways of the media, Phillip’s research career began after he became interested in wars going on in the realms of health and politics over issues that were being deliberately withheld or misreported to the public. You will have to wait until tomorrow to find out about the “100 Ways to a Happier Life” which he spoke about as it is way past my bedtime…

Money Masters

Hello… today I want to write a about a recent event I attended. Called Money Masters, it was quite a special time. It was held over three days at the Crown Promenade Hotel in Melbourne’s Southbank district.

On the first morning I arrived to be greeted by the event organiser - Nik Halik - and a four string quartet. I don’t know how many of you have taken time out to attend any wealth creation or motivational seminars, but they are pretty special in my book.

Nik Halik (google this name) is a self-made millionaire and with his wealth has been able to follow his childhood dream of training to be an astronaut. He has trained with the Russian cosmonauts and has voyaged a flight to the edge of space.

He is also the first Australian since the Titanic sunk to have been down to the Titanic in a submersival. He did this with his Russian contacts. They have the only submersival that can travel down 5 kilometres to the bottom of the sea. They stopped on the bow and had lunch.

There were speakers from around the globe at this event and they all had a great message or some great strategies for wealth creation. Kurek Ashley is now living in Australia but originally from Chicago, was involved in 38 Hollywood movies. As he says, “nobody ever wants the bad guy to come and talk to them” when I asked how he got started in Public Speaking. His movie roles were all bad guy roles, hence that comment.

His message was pretty powerful. What I got from it was to take responsibility for your life and start producing the results that you want to achieve. If you do not start to live life “above the line” in the minority, you will get stuck and left behind with the “majority”.

The minority use their ability to choose how they respond rather than react to certain events. Whereas the majority use reasons or excuses, blame and justification for where they are and there current circumstances. The only way to fail at life , is the failure to participate in it. To have the results, you must do what it takes.

He summed this all up by stating that by having Desire - wanting with passion and getting excited by an idea or thought and then having the Belief - fake it until you make it, followed by Self Acceptance, with these three things you will be firing on all fours and achieving the results that you deserve.

It truly was an incredible event and would highly recommend that wherever you are, to experience something like this is life changing. Seek out Motivational speakers and attend their events. Anthony Robbins travels around the world and speaks in many locations. He is just one I can think of. Jamie McIntyre with the 21st Century Academy also travels to London, Los Angeles, and other exotic locations like Fiji and Hawaii for Education for Life Seminars.

To finish here I just want to let you know that the event I attended ended with the screening of the movie “The Secret“. You can order it from here if you have not already seen it. It is the most amazing DVD you will ever see.

According to the Webster dictionary, the meaning of prosperity is:

“the state of being prosperous; advance or gain in anything good or desirable; successful progress in any business or enterprise; success; wealth.

 

It is “the advance or gain in anything good or desirable” that interests me.  Prosperity is not just a physical thing of having desirable objects like a nice big house, fast car, jewellery, wardrobe, or even shoes, for all you ladies out there.  Prosperity encompasses all areas of our lives.  Mental, physical, familial, social, financial, spiritual, and vocational. 

 

The thoughts that you think about, you bring about.  If you focus on lack, you will always have lack.  If the words you speak are “I cant afford” then you will never afford.  Just take some time and think back to certain events.  When was the last time you really wanted something and just went out and got it?  Are you one of those people who first thinks about how they will afford things or do you just go ahead and buy it? 

 

Developing a “prosperity consciousness” is all about being aware of your thoughts.  That is not to say that you have to monitor your thoughts constantly as that would be impossible.

 

Thoughts come to us from every direction.  All I am suggesting is that you take notice of the language you use and how it makes you feel, and in turn, what results are you getting from those thoughts?  As you do this you will become more aware and learn more about yourself.

 

You become what you think about the most.  You attract what you think about the most.  If it is negative thoughts, that is what you will get.  If it is positive thoughts, that is what you will get.  If you seek prosperity, you shall have it.  Think of yourself as a magnet.  Everything you think about, you attract.  It does not matter whether you want it or dont want it.  Whatever you think about, comes about.  Whatever you focus on, you get.  That is, the predominant thoughts you hold in your mind.  You attract people, events, lifestyle and thoughts.  It is because of the Law of Attraction.

As James Allen says:

“A man cannot directly choose his circumstances, but he can choose his thoughts which will affect his circumstances.”

Developing a “prosperity consciousness”  is possible.  So choose your thoughts wisely and you will have that which you desire.
