Hey Shun, good to see you and welcome back from your travels!

Good question! The “No toys or hobbies” is until you have established a regular income. The idea is to not stray from your goals and get distracted. Toys and hobbies relates to new cars and the like which can be expensive habits that hold you back from achieving what you set out to do in the first place.

This strategy is to ensure you DO actually reach your goal. I used the figure $10,000 as a suggestion. You may set a smaller or larger goal. It’s up to each individuals circumstances and only you know what is required for a comfortable lifestyle.
