The great tragedy is: some people truly are hopeless.

Homelessness will exist as long as there are people willing to help solve the problem. There is a fundamental flaw in that statement. It is true, either way you look at it. Either homelessness will end, and people will not be needed to help solve the problem, or the people willing to solve the problem are making the problem possible.

The problem is: there has always been, to some degree, those willing to help solve the problem, and there numbers are increasing, as is homelessness. Are the people who try to do the most good, actually causing the most harm? How would you test that? And don’t be biased…
