As I mentioned in my last post, Twitter is a great place to get and share information with your friends. About one week ago, Ed Dale twitted this site and it went viral in no time. I must admit, it can get addictive and I have been one of those addicts.

So what am I talking about - you’re thinking. I am talking about a word game where every word you get right donates 10 grains of rice for the hungry via the United Nations.

FreeRice dot com was launched on the 7th of October, yes - just last month, and to date, there has been , 1,330,639,890 grains of rice donated.

How to Play the Game

So how does this game work. Well straight from the website, here it is:

  • Click on the answer that best defines the word.
  • If you get it right, you get a harder word. If wrong, you get an easier word.
  • For each word you get right, we donate 10 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program.

They do offer a WARNING: This game may make you smarter. It may improve your speaking, writing, thinking, grades, job performance… (more)

Check it out and have fun :)

… by the way… what do you think of my face-lift?
